Home Preschool Activities

Bryson and I have been busy this school year.  He goes to ECE (Early Childhood Education) in the mornings and works with his teachers doing their curriculum and then in the afternoons, Bryson and I do preschool activities.  We've gone through the entire alphabet now and are still going strong with 100 Easy Lessons to Teach Your Child To Read.  Bryson knows all his letter sounds and is reading simple sentences and short easy reader books.  He's doing awesome, and he's learned a lot since August.  Here are some of the activities we've done for the last half of the alphabet, letters M-Z (since there are previous posts on letters A-L here, here, and there's even more here).

M:  Me
N:  Nursery Rhyme
O:  Ornament (Christmas)

P:  Presents (Christmas Giving)
Q:  Quilts
R:  Rainbows
S:  Stars and Solar System
T:  Transportation
U:  Uncles and Family
V:  Valentine
W: Weather
 X:  X-ray

Y:  "Yany, yarning Dr. Suess" (Read Across America Day)

  3. If you're looking for something else he can do, he can make a mothers' or fathers' day card, fold a sheet of paper in quarters, in the bottom right quarter make an oval opening. Inside the card have him draw your pictures to see through the the opening. Makes a cute framed picture and he will have fun doing it. Dave made one for his dad when he was about Bryson's age when I was teaching a Sunday School class. Or he could draw it on another piece of paper and paste it in like a photo. Love, Grandma
