The Christmas party for our apartment complex was actually hosted by a Church that's across the street from our buildings. It was interesting, not exactly the kind of church or apartment Christmas party I'm used to, but I liked that they put Jesus at the center of their celebration. One of the Church ladies read "Tell the Children" (the story about Santa sharing the symbols of a Christmas) and then Santa came and worshiped the baby Jesus before presuming his duties as the old bearded man who gives you presents. Bryson also ate a variety of cookies, drank hot chocolate, had his face painted, and made some Christmas ornaments. So it wasn't bad, just interesting, especially when we were enticed invited to the Church's Christmas Eve service with a $10 gift card from Target.
