St. Mary's Glacier

We hiked to the base of St. Mary's Glacier this weekend. We hiked it a few years ago, but this was the first time we did it as a family of four.  It was a gorgeous and easy hike that we all enjoyed.

Bryson cried when wading into the water because the glacier run-off was so cold.

This baby was a happy little hiker before and after our trip to St. Mary's.

Family Hike

We went to Echo Lake this weekend and hiked on the Chicago Lake Trail to the first creek.  The boys were great hikers!

We had no idea he knows how to drink from a straw

Walk This Way

Colin literally went from crawling, to standing, to walking on his own for the first time in one afternoon!  He finally got tired of hurting his knees when crawling around on the concrete at the splash pad and stood up for the first time today.  Then later, he decided to strut his stuff in his bedroom.  He was so proud of himself, and we are just as proud of our little walker!  We knew he could do it!

Baby Steps

It's taken him awhile (15 1/2 months), but he did it.  Colin took his first steps!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to my dad and to Jarom (and to all the other terrific fathers out there)!

My dad pretty much embodies every quality you can imagine. He's patient, understanding, faithful, hard working, loving, etc., etc.. He doesn't let obstacles, even cancer, get him down and is one of the best men I know. I'm thankful for his wonderful example!
Jarom is such a great dad!  I love that he makes the boys laugh, teaches them what they need to know, and gets them to sleep better than I do.  Happy Father's Day to two great men!

A Little Tired

Bryson and Colin were a little tired after last night's late-night flight that didn't get us home until 1:15 AM.   Colin started to fall asleep on the laundry room floor with the blankets I was washing.  We're glad to be home, but we had a fabulous time in Seattle and were sad to say goodbye to aunts, uncles, and Grandma Joy and Grandpa Jim.

A Perfect Day for the Beach

It's been gorgeous the entire time we've been in Seattle, with no rain in sight and warm temperatures.  It was the perfect day to enjoy the beach with Grandma Joy.  This was Colin's first time at the beach, and he ate a good ounce of sand, but I guess that's to be expected.  The water had quite a bit of seaweed so we didn't wade, but we still managed to enjoy a beautiful afternoon at the beach.
