Laughing Hysterically
Part of every good bed-time routine: getting all wound up right before mom and dad want you to go to sleep. Colin definitely appreciates when Bryson is acts crazy and reacts with his wonderful baby laugh.

Back from Vacation
We returned from Washington a couple of days ago. We had a great time with my family. Becca and I took the kids to the zoo, we ate at a few of my favorite restaurants, and made Halloween costumes (you'll have to wait for the reveal). Bryson got in a lot of playtime with his cousins, Colin spent lots of time in Grandma's "Jumperoo," we watched movies and "took it easy" with Grandpa Jim, and we were showered with hugs from Grandma Joy. We had a wonderful visit, and I'm SO glad we were able to go.

Pumpkin Patch Kids
Today the boys and I took a field trip to the pumpkin farm with Grandma Joy and Aunt Becca and her girls. We took some adorable photos of Bryson in a stack of pumpkins when he was about Colin's age, so I tried to recreate that, but Colin isn't sitting up yet and he wasn't too enthused about sitting on top of a pile of pumpkins, especially when Grandma Joy took away the mini pumpkin he was trying to suck on. Bryson was pretty cooperative for pictures though and so we got some cute ones. Here are our little pumpkin patch kids.

Fishing with Grandpa Jim
When asked what he wanted to do while in Seattle, Bryson said he wanted to "go fishing with Grandpa Jim," so today we headed to the trout farm where Bryson and his cousin Zoey caught some fish. The kids enjoyed feeding the baby trout and were very proud of their catch , but made it known that they would NOT be eating any of it. It was a fun outing for all involved.

Visiting Grandpa Jim and Grandma Joy
The boys and I flew to Washington this week to visit my parents. The flight went pretty well. Colin slept most of the time and Bryson kept himself entertained. I am so glad that we are able to visit and that my dad and brothers were able to meet Baby Colin for the first time. This is our first visit in over a year and a half, so we are excited to be here, and we are even more excited to be spending time with my dad who was recently diagnosed with bone cancer. Bryson has been having a blast playing with my sister Becca's daughters, riding bikes, eating Grandma Joy's food (except her chicken nuggets), and watching Spiderman and other shows with Grandpa Jim. It's been a great visit so far, and we're looking forward to making some more great memories with Grandma Joy and Grandpa Jim. Here are a few photos from our first day in Seattle.
